A huge congratulation goes out to team member Karl Hallowell. As of yesterday he is officially Doctor Hallowell. Karl just received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of California at Davis.

Karl – Way to go!!!! Do you plan to work in your degree field? Or, maybe there is no endeavor that could not use a bit of mathematics. Congratulations. I expect you to rest on your laurels just long enough to decide on your next great challenge. There’s this very calculating aerospace outfit with many visionaries – it could use a few good mathematics wonks… the name escape velocities me for the moment.
