Magnetohydrodynamic Testing Continues

We did three more MHD Generator tests Saturday. We found the earlier problem and we’ve now getting consistent results again. We can now continue with building the generator for the quad engine.

We’ve now done 39 firings of various MHD generators. We’re starting to figure these things out!

    Looks like there is alot of chamber erosion going on (the “sparking” seen in the exhaust plume). If so, could a more focused plume, maybe a “nozzle” between the engine ane the (?) electrodes, help?
