This was a bit beat up used fiberglass prop. With a fair amount of wet sanding with 1000 grit, a touch of epoxy fill and a coat of clear UV protection it came out nice.
I can just feel the Pup wanting to get out there and chase down balloons!

Hey JP, is ground clearance the same as the 2-blade wooden prop? What will prop speed be like with three blades? Any performance gain, you estimate? Sure looks nice. Not that the wooden prop was unattractive, but with lots of black blades she looks more like a fighter every day! Just keep this one off the concrete!
I lose and inch and a half of ground clearance. It makes me a bit nervous, there wasn’t much to begin with. I can trim the prop an inch and still be OK performance wise. The three blades should give the pup better climb. There’s a lot more surface area that’s not being block by the narrow and slim airframe.
The numbers show a little loss in cruse speed, but I don’t think I’ll be able to tell.

Are you even able to make a two point landing with that much ground clearance?
If I’m at cruse level on two wheels, there’s four inches of prop clearance. I think I’ll need that extra inch and half back.
Same sized mains as before? Perhaps go for some tundra tires, so you simultaneously get extra prop clearance and back-country landing ability!
