We’re getting ready for the flight of the Tandem airship this fall, but we’ve already started design work on the next Tandem. Here’s a peek at what we’re thinking.
We intend to use Tandems for Dark Sky Station Assembly, Mach Glider launching and for launching large rockets.

Where does the pilot sit?
Wait, I thought that these were unmanned craft…
Anyways, no more carbonfiber rings?!
You’re doing something other than endless weather balloon flights? I was wondering when you’d progress further than that… I can’t wait forever. Unless you get going quicker, there’s a good chance you’ll be overtaken, at least as far as developing nearspace and suborbital airships goes. Although, that would leave you free to develop the orbital part of things, while others work on the nearspace side of things. A prize would certainly spur things along; it has done for the N-prize.
You’re not taking advantage of commercial opportunities enough. Get a manned nearspace RLV built, and then start selling tickets to stay in nearspace for a few days. By nearspace, I mean 20-25km up. The 175 could manage that, couldn’t it?
Dankjewel voor de info. de verzorging van je tanden moet in het oog gehouden worden.
