Bellavia (our submarine) is getting a big code revision. Lots of increased error handling and tying network error messaging to the voice interface. That way Bella can help with the troubleshooting.

Yesterday we inflated the inner air beam structure for the Ellipse airship. It was a bit too windy, but we needed to check the position of the inner liner. Sure enough it had a twist. We’ll need to pull and reinstall it before the whole thing gets mounted inside the airship.

Yesterday the team installed all 42 of the new keel plates on the sub. We decided to do it with the sub on the trailer rather than do the whole crane lift off load. We got it done but it was like playing twister while weightlifting.

It’s been too cold outside to primer the subs new keel plates, so the electronics room is now the paint room. All the plates have a coat of primer. Today they get the enamel, tomorrow we start mounting.

Done! All the submarine’s new keel plates have had their edges smoothed out. The plates were plasma cut very precisely but the edges and holes were sharp and needed to be rounded. Now back to priming and painting.
