It’s been too cold outside to primer the subs new keel plates, so the electronics room is now the paint room. All the plates have a coat of primer. Today they get the enamel, tomorrow we start mounting.

Life’s a Grind
Done! All the submarine’s new keel plates have had their edges smoothed out. The plates were plasma cut very precisely but the edges and holes were sharp and needed to be rounded. Now back to priming and painting.

New Covers for Bella
Upgrade! We’re reprinting all the vent covers on our sub. We originally printed them in PLA. However, Bella is spending more time out in the sun on test runs these days & PLA tend to warp. We’re reprint all 14 in ABS. They take 20 hours each so we’ll be at it a while.
