We started using honeycomb cardboard as High Rack decks. Today we tried bending and curving the material to see what other uses we can put it to. We already intend to slightly curve it and use it as upper deck structures in Ascender inner helium cells. Hmmmm… Art Deco High Racks anyone?

How do you curve it?
I like it. Where does the epoxy go? It uses fewer carbon rods. It could fly back with that winged shape. What’s the downside?
We carefully peal off the inner layer of paper. Then we bend it, apply spray adhesive to the paper and stretch it back onto the honeycomb. The resulting structure is amazingly ridged.
